Issues Description:

Excel macro is not working when the ExcelSheet is saved as Protected Password. Although, ExcelSheet has “Macro Settings” enable, yet many kinds of error pop up erroneously

Problem details:

1. Enable macro settings : File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> Enable all macro

2. Create a macro

3. Save the sheet with Protect password: File -> Save As -> Tools -> General Option -> Enter the password on “Password to open” and “Password to modify” boxes -> OK -> Click Save

4. Close ExcelSheet

5. Open the ExcelSheet you just saved

6. Once you open the ExcelSheet, you will then get warning Pop up “SECURITY WARNING”. “Microsoft Excel Security Notice – Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern”

7. Run the macro, you will another error “The macros in this project are disable”

Resolution:

1. Save the file with no password protection: File -> Save As -> Tools -> General Option
2. On General Option box, remove the password on “Password to open” and “Password to modify” -> OK -> Click Save
3. Close the ExcelSheet
4. Open the ExcelSheet
5. Run the macro
6. Now the problem should be resolved
